Extended Care
Extended care is childcare before and after regular school hours.
Those additional hours require an extra monthly charge included in your yearly contract. Extended care is supervised and planned by a regular classroom teacher.
Daily Schedule
Though each classroom has a different time schedule, all class schedules include the following activities:
Free Center Play
Blocks, Legos, dress-up, home living, reading, listening center, art, writing, manipulatives, puzzles, etc.
Guided Activities
Language Arts, math, science, social studies, Bible, art, drama, stories, games, music and finger plays, etc.
Circle Time
Calendar, unit themes, games, guided reading, language development, weather, music, finger plays and stories, etc.
Snack
A healthy snack is provided in the morning and the afternoon by ECS. Students with food allergies or special diet restrictions must inform the school office immediately.
Lunch
A nutritious lunch is provided by ECS. The lunch menu will be posted monthly. If your child has special dietary needs please inform the school office during registration.
Nap/Rest Time
A quiet time of rest is provided for each child after lunch every day.
Outside Play
Sandbox, water table, tricycles, slides, games, running, jumping, gardening, etc.
